Leshan-Ya'an Highway is a section of G93 Chengdu–Chongqing Ring Expressway planned in national high speed highway network in the territory of Sichuan Province.
The expressway is connected with Zhangxuba Interchange of G93 Leshan-Yibin Highway in the east, which passes through Shizhong District of Leshan, Jiajiang County, Hongya County of Meishan and Yucheng District of Ya'an, and is connected with G5 Chengdu-Ya'an Highway in Mingshan County. The whole length is 116.683km. The designed running speed is 100km. Fully-enclosed, full-interchange, double-line and four lanes are adopted. Total investment is 7.848 billion Yuan, and the expressway was formally started in December 23, 2009, which was completed and opened to traffic in 2012.
Currently, Chengdu-Mianyang Highway, Chengdu-Ya'an Highway, Suining-Chongqing Highway, Leshan-Yibin Highway and Mianyang-Suining Highway in Chengdu-Chongqing Ring Expressway have been completed and opened to traffic. Yichang-Luzhou-Chongqing Highway, etc. have been constructed. Leshan-Ya'an Highway was finally started. After Leshan-Ya'an Highway was constructed, Chengdu-Chongqing Ring Expressway with whole length of 1200km will be completely converged. Then, the longest highway nonstop running time is not longer than 3 hours through highway between two cities among 8 cities, namely Chengdu, Ya'an, Leshan, Yibin, Luzhou, Chongqing, Suining, Mianyang, etc. which are connected by the ring expressway. Chengdu-Chongqing city community also can be formed between two megacities of Chengdu and Chongqing as well as more than 30 large, medium and small cities between Chengdu and Chongqing. It will drive development of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.
