Leshan-Zigong Highway is a section of east-west horizontal line of Sichuan Highway from Hanyuan to Zigong. It is started from Angu Town, Shizhong District, Leshan, which is connected with Leshan-Yibin Highway. Leshan-Zigong Highway is crossed with planned road to port and Leshan Ring Expressway, which passes through Maoqiao Town, Mata Town, Sanjiang Town, Zuyuanpu, Changshan Town, Dujia North Station, Rongxian South Station, Shuangshi Town, Lizi Township and Qiaotou Town, and is connected with Neijiang-Yibin Expressway in Hailongwan, Yong'an Town, Zigong.
Whole length of Leshan-Zigong Highway is 116.3km, including 47km in Leshan. Total investment is up to 2.76 billion Yuan. Leshan-Zigong Highway is equipped with a total of 64 grand bridges, large bridges and medium bridges, 43 small bridges and 1 double-hole tunnel (3.16km long). Bridges and tunnels account for 18.02% of the whole length in the line. 12 interchanges are set in Angu, Dujiachang, Jiufeng, Maoqiao, Zuyuan, etc. besides 7 separate interchanges, 329 culverts, 1 management office, 2 service areas and 3 parking lots. The project is constructed according to full-closed and full-interchange two-way four-line highway standards. Designed running speed is 80km/h, and roadbed width is 24.5 meters. Total estimated investment is 6.51452 billion Yuan.
