

Lianghekou Hydropower Station, also known as Yalong River Lianghekou Hydropower Station, is located on the main stream of the Yalong River in Yajiang County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, approximately 25km upstream of Yajiang County. It serves as a controlled reservoir hydropower station project for the cascade hydropower stations in the middle and lower reaches of the Yalong River, exerting a significant impact on the development of the entire cascade hydropower stations along the Yalong River. The primary development purpose of the hydropower station is to generate electricity, while also serving functions such as water storage and energy storage, sharing flood control tasks in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and improving shipping conditions during the dry season on the Yangtze River waterway. Its economic benefits are remarkable. The dam site of the hydropower station is located on a river section approximately 1.8km below the mouth of the Qingda River, which is a tributary of the main stream of the Yalong River, controlling a drainage area of 65,599 square kilometers.
