The Jiangxi Expressway (from Jiangjin to Xishui, Guizhou) originates from the Diaojia Interchange connecting Chongqing's Jiangjin and Sichuan's Hejiang, passing through Ciyun, Lishi, Caijia, Bolin, Simian Mountain, Zhaiba, Wenshui, and Xishui in Jiangjin. With a total length of approximately 112 kilometers, the Jiangxi Expressway, upon completion, will serve as the shortest overland route for vehicles from Chongqing's main city to enter Guizhou via Jiangxi Road, and then continue to Zhanjiang via Guangxi, alleviating traffic pressure on the Lanhai Expressway and the Jingkun Expressway.
Currently, to travel from the main city to Simian Mountain, one has to take a long mountain road after getting off at Diaojia. The journey from the main city to Simian Mountain takes three to four hours. After the completion of the Jiangxi Expressway, a high-speed branch line about 7 kilometers long will be added at Hongying Bridge in Simian Mountain, leading directly to the Simian Mountain scenic area. In the future, it will only take one hour to travel from the main city to Simian Mountain, and it will be a fully high-speed journey. The Jiangxi Expressway is also a golden tourism corridor. After its completion, it will connect the golden tourism triangle centered around Simian Mountain, Sancha River in Guizhou, and Fobao in Sichuan.
