The Lezhi Expressway is a section of the east-west Hanyuan-Zigong line of Sichuan Expressways. It starts from Angu Town in the central district of Leshan City, connecting with the Leyi Expressway. It intersects with the planned port access road and the Leshan Ring Expressway to the east, passing through Maoqiao Town, Mata Town, Sanjiang Town, Zhuyuanpu, Changshan Town, Dujia North, Rongxian South, Shuangshi Town, Lizixiang, and Qiaotou Town, and connects with the Neiyi Expressway at Hailong Bay in Yong'an Town, Zigong City.

 The entire Leshan-Zigong Expressway spans 116.3 kilometers, with the Leshan section alone covering 47 kilometers and a total investment of 2.76 billion yuan. It features 64 super major, major, and medium bridges, 43 minor bridges, and one double-tube tunnel (3.16 kilometers long), accounting for 18.02% of the total route length. Additionally, there are 12 interchanges, including Angu, Dujiachang, Jiufeng, Maoqiao, and Zhuyuan, 7 grade-separated intersections, 329 culverts, 1 management station, 2 service areas, and 3 parking areas. The project adopts the standard of a fully enclosed, fully grade-separated, two-way four-lane expressway, with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour and a subgrade width of 24.5 meters. The estimated total investment amounts to 6.51452 billion yuan.
