The Suining-Xichong Expressway starts from Fushan Dam in Jixiang Town, Pengxi County, Suining City, and connects seamlessly to the planned urban roads of Suining City. Within Xichong County, it passes through Chelong and Jianshan Township, where the Xichong Interchange is located. It then passes through Changlin, Fu'an, and Guanwen, ending at Jiajia Bay in Taiping Town, where the Taiping Hub Interchange is situated, connecting with the Guangyuan-Nanning Expressway.
"Within Xichong County, there is a 26.8-kilometer-long highway with a width of 24.5 meters, featuring two-way four lanes and a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour." According to Li Zhi, a senior engineer from the Xichong County Transportation Bureau, this expressway is the fourth one constructed within Xichong County. Upon completion, it will organically connect important highways within the province, such as the Guangnan Expressway, Chengnan Expressway, Chengde Nanba Expressway, and Mian-Su-Nei Expressway. It will strengthen the connection between Nanchong and cities like Guangyuan, Bazhong, and Suining, further promoting the construction of Nanchong as a secondary comprehensive transportation hub.
Located on the north-south corridor in Sichuan, this project closely connects the northward and southward corridors, effectively alleviating the traffic pressure on the Chengdu-Nanchong Expressway
