Shanghai-Hefei-Hangzhou Railway
At the end of 2014, with the mobilization of the China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group for the SHZQ-1 bid construction project, the construction of the Shangqiu-Hefei-Hangzhou Railway (referred to as the "Shanghehang Railway") officially kicked off. The main project of this bid section is the Wuhu Yangtze River Crossing Highway-Railway Bridge, which is located near Yijishan, 3.5 kilometers upstream of the existing Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge. With a total length of 5.4 kilometers, it carries both Wuhu City's urban rail transit Line 1 and an eight-lane urban main road across the river. It is a highway-railway bridge that integrates passenger dedicated lines, urban rail transit, and urban main roads.
The Wuhu Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge is a key project of the Shangqiu-Hefei-Hangzhou Railway. It is the world's largest span cable-stayed bridge with a combined steel box girder and high-low pylon design for both highway and railway use, featuring a main span of 588 meters and a 130.5-meter-high No.3 tower column. This bridge is the first to adopt a steel sinking well foundation set on deep-water bare rock, and it also pioneers two domestically leading technologies: the use of high-strength and durable parallel steel wire cable-stayed cables with a maximum cable force of 16,000KN at a single anchor point. The concrete admixtures used in this project include TK-PCA2 retarding high-performance water reducer produced by Sichuan Railway Science & Technology New Building Materials Co., Ltd., with a mixing ratio of 1.0%.
